Guys I will telling in points wise for easy understanding ,
What is Cable management ? Why we need it ? Why you should read this article ?
Cable management refers to management of electrical or optical cable in a cabinet or an installation. The term is used for products, workmanship or planning for our day to day life or for our future and present use.
In our day to day in a week we should always Manage our cable in our surrounding , because
1. Ease of Use
One of the most important reasons to invest in a high quality cable management solution has to do with providing you and your employees easy access to not only the cables themselves, but to the devices that they’re connected to. If the cables running to and from the various devices you’re trying to maintain become tangled and interconnected, it will take a significantly longer amount of time to make sense of it all. This can lead to decreased efficiency and simple tasks like swapping out a hard drive taking much longer than they really should.
It is important for wires and cables to be organized and color coding is a great way to know which cables are designated for certain tasks and plug ins. For example, Ethernet cables tend to be blue.
Another important reason to think about data center cable management has to do with fire safety. If cables become tangled and are not properly managed, they are much more likely to lead to sparks and even a fire if the situation is left unchecked for a long enough period of time. Likewise, someone could walk near a bundle of cables, trip and yank a cable out of its socket. This could also lead to a fire or even damaging the equipment that cable was connected to.
Computer towers, monitors, routers, air conditioning units — all of these electrical devices come with some type of cord, and if you own a small or medium business, you probably have lots of them in your server room.

Sorting through all of these wires might sound like a challenge, but a simple labeling system, where you wrap a small piece of paper around the end of each cord, will make it so much easier to identify your devices. You can even use colored-coded labels for different types of equipment (blue labels for servers, yellow labels for routers, and so on).
4.Get Rid of Your Unused Cables
You might have loads of old cables in your server room for equipment that no longer works, or stuff that you replaced a long time ago.
It’s time for a spring cleaning.
Trace each cable and identify what device it’s connected to. If you no longer need it, get rid of it. Old cables will only clutter your server room and make it difficult to find what you’re actually looking for.
5. Shorten Overly Long Cables
Overly long cables can even pose a significant safety risk if a staff member trips over one. If you’re technologically inclined, you can cut your cables with a sharp knife, remove the insulation and punch them down to the appropriate length.
6. Colors and clips
Getting a power strip is just the beginning. Now, let’s say you want to move a lamp, television or console. You’ve got to figure out what plug goes where, but don’t want to have to unplug and reattach everything to find what you’re looking for. Don’t be like the dad from “A Christmas Story.” Color-code and label which wires are attached to what. You might want to use washi tape, like Angela at Blue I Style shows. Roll up the slack into a matching binder clip and you’re good to go.
7. Start from the top (drawer) down
There’s something about the side of your bed that makes it a magnet for cluttery cords. For most of us, phones and tablets are the last things we put down at night and the first things we pick up in the morning. Why not stick a power strip in the top drawer for a secret charging compartment? That way, you don’t even need to worry about how to hide cords. Some drawers come with holes already in the back, but you can easily make yourself a space big enough for a cord to fit if you have a drill handy.
